Abstract

Avgust Bukovec was the honorary president and an honorary member of the Association of Beekeeping Societies of Slovenia. He was also the honorary president of the Beekeeping Society for Ljubljana and the surrounding area. He received the Order of Anton Janša, 1st degree, and the recognition of the Maribor Beekeeping Society for meritorious work in beekeeping. Bukovec was an honorary member of the Croatian-Slavonian Beekeeping Society and the Horticultural Society of Slovenia.
